Introducing the Unitree L1, the industry’s first bionic 4D laser radar with 360 ultra-wide-angle scanning . Designed to revolutionize mobile robotics, this cutting-edge sensor marks a bold leap into the era of intelligent mobility .
To bring high-performance robots into everyday life , Unitree Robotics has engineered the L1 with precision, speed, and adaptability in mind. Built on a foundation of technological innovation , it optimizes both performance and cost-efficiency, making advanced perception more accessible than ever.
360 90 Ultra-Wide-Angle Scanning Full-environment coverage with vertical depth awareness
Near-Zero Blind Spot Minimum detection distance: 0.05m
Long-Range Precision Up to 30m at 90% reflectivity
High Sampling Rate 21,600 points/sec effective frequency for smooth data flow
Lightweight Design Only 230g, ideal for mobile platforms
Compact Form Factor Just 757565mm, fits tight integration spaces
The Unitree L1 4D LiDAR is perfectly tailored for the needs of small, conventional mobile robots delivering high-density point cloud data at speeds far below 1m/s.
By comparison, top-tier automotive-grade LiDAR systems generate up to 1.5 million points/sec, but when traveling at 200km/h (55m/s), the effective density drops to just 27,000 points/metereven in safety-critical scenarios.
Mobile robots typically operate at much slower speeds, often under 1m/s. When paired with the L1 LiDAR, they achieve a comparable point cloud density per meter to automotive systemswithout the high-speed trade-offs.
That means the L1 delivers more than enough spatial resolution for navigation, obstacle avoidance, and SLAM in indoor and low-speed environmentsmaking it a smart, efficient choice for mobile robotics.
The Unitree L1 4D LiDAR rapidly captures accurate 3D structural data of entire indoor spaces . This enables precise positioning and autonomous navigation for mobile robots while unlocking advanced functions like whole-house cleaning, object sorting, and environmental mapping.
Thanks to its 360 90 ultra-wide-angle field of view , L1 performs non-repetitive scanning with exceptional precision. It generates high-density point clouds that deliver image-level detailideal for SLAM, obstacle detection, and spatial reconstruction.
With a minimum detection distance of just 0.05m , L1 excels at near-field recognition. Its ultra-low blind zone makes it perfect for navigating tight spaces, detecting small objects, and performing fine-grained environmental analysis.
