Description

The Unit LoRaWAN-AS923 is a LoRaWAN communication module designed for long-distance, low-power IoT deployments on the AS923 band. Built around the STM32WLE5 LoRa solution, the Unit LoRaWAN-AS923 integrates a LoRaWAN protocol stack and supports Class A, Class B, and Class C operation for different downlink and power-consumption requirements.

With UART AT-command control, OTAA and ABP activation, LoRa point-to-point communication, and a high-sensitivity 2.3dBi rubber duck antenna, the Unit LoRaWAN-AS923 can work as a gateway collection node or support direct device-to-device communication when a gateway is not required. The Unit LoRaWAN-AS923 is suited for smart agriculture, industrial monitoring, environmental monitoring nodes, and long-range sensor networks in Asia and other compatible AS923 regions.

Notice: The AS923 version is designed for Asia and other regions using the 923-925 MHz AS923 band. Confirm local LoRaWAN frequency regulations, regional channel plan, and gateway support before deployment.

1 Rubber Duck Antenna (@2.3dBi, total length 195mm, SMA male connector)

Other Content

The Unit LoRaWAN-AS923 uses PORT.C for UART communication: black is GND, red is 5V, yellow is UART_RX, and white is UART_TX. The UART interface and AT-command manual are useful for host-controller integration, automated provisioning, and application firmware development.

LoRaWAN Class A provides the lowest downlink real-time performance and the lowest power consumption for periodic upload nodes. Class B provides medium downlink timing and medium power consumption for scheduled control devices. Class C provides the highest downlink real-time performance and the highest power consumption for real-time control, including industrial automation.

The STM32WLE5-based LoRaWAN unit family is offered in multiple regional bands. Choose the Unit LoRaWAN-AS923 only when the local network, gateway, and channel plan support AS923 operation in the 923-925 MHz range.
